My Thoughts

I was not prepared for the heaviness and intensity of this Book. It deals with a lot of intense themes.

This book was a tough read for me. It addresses a lot of themes I haven’t personally dealt with. Because of this, I am glad I read it.

I usually read to escape so this book is not my usual style.

Honestly, if I had realized it was about abortion I probably wouldn’t have picked it up. But I am glad I did.

The amount of care and detail is in every word of This book. It is obvious that the authors felt the weight of These Topics and took the time and care to do them justice.

Judge Mary was an absolutely amazing character. She was both Strong and vulnerable.

I would only recommend this book for mature readers.

Viola Davis reading was more than half of why I wanted to read this book. She did not disappoint. Amazing performance.

This book was intense from start to finish. I am glad I read it as it is really well done. But I don’t recommend for all audiences.

All rise… for Judge Stone.

The most respected citizen in Union Springs, Alabama (population 3,314), is Judge Mary Stone. She holds two responsibilities sacred: running her family farm and presiding over her courtroom. It’s there she draws the most controversial case in the history of the South.

Criminally, itโ€™s open-and-shut.

Ethically, there is no middle ground. Essentially, itโ€™s a choice between life and death.

No judge can satisfy everyone. It would be dangerous to try. But Judge Stone is willing to fight to bring justice to the people and place she loves.
