This book is about Moss. And only Moss. And maybe a few other characters, but mostly Moss.

This book is a must read if you like: Sentient plants, space, cozy sci-fi, John Scalzi, pulling apart social issues in the coziest, happiest way possible.

My Thoughts

I don’t even know where to start with this book. I slowed down my listening for this book and I LOVED spending almost 12 hours in the universe with Moss.

Moss’d in Space is not a fluffy book. It is not “just” a cozy novel. But when I tell you I spent almost the whole 12 hours listening to this book breaking out into grins, giggles, and full on belly laughs I am not kidding.

Moss is a deeply hurt being and it was a pleasure traveling through his journey with him as he rejoins (or not) sentient life.

This book encapsulates the best of cozy, and the classic of traditional sci-fi. I was taken on a journey and I can’t wait to go back in Book 2.

The narration was absolutely brilliant and Dylan Reilly Fitzpatrick perfectly captured what a sentient moss integrated into a life support system should sound like.

If you want a cozy ride into space with some of the most flawed, but lovable characters you will ever meet, do not miss this book.
