A fabulous book to help introduce kids into the Horror Genre in the best , age appropriate way.
This book is a must read if you like: scary stories, clever twists, new takes on old tropes, and introducing kids to Horror!
My Thoughts
This book has the perfect blend of age appropriate suspense, peril, and descriptions of (ice cream) gore to introduce middle grade readers to the horror genre.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Yes, it was written for middle grade readers. But there were moments that I was caught in the suspense and it was a great pallet cleanser.
As someone who is relatively new to the horror genre I really enjoyed this book. It was fun, engaging, and true to the genre.
I loved the fantasy element that was woven into this horror novel. It was perfectly engaging.
The characters were very well developed for a middle grade length book. I loved the relationships between the characters as well.
I would absolutely recommend this book for the middle grade reader, and a great palate cleanser for readings of any age.
