A dramatic ending to a three book struggle for understanding life, power, and belonging.

This book is a must read if you like: Super villains, found family, psychological thrillers, superpowers.

My Thoughts

As with my favorite V.E. Schwab, Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil, I couldn’t binge this book. I had to take it in small chunks and savor it. Which was so hard because I had to know what happened!!! But I didn’t want it to be over.

This book had me on edge the whole time, but also had amazing moments of almost cozy quality with amazing humor. There was so much build up to this book. So much anticipation. And so much hope and expectations. And it exceeded them.

In the end I was heartbroken, happy, and so satisfied all at once.

One of my favorite parts of Victorious was all the engaging NEW characters we got to meet. Some very minor characters from Vengeful made a return as well. Each character was engaging and I wanted all of them to win (I’m not talking to you Dr. Grey, I hate you.).

If you enjoyed the first two books you will not be disappointed with this one.

I LOVED this book. I was traumatized by this book in the best possible way. All of the returning characters were true to their histories. There were a host of new characters that I LOVED. But as with the first two books, getting attached means getting your heart broken.

And in the end…I was satisfied.
